The moon peels itself tonight
as its stitched-up white scar
comes undone
above the wet skin of the world.
Wrapped in its elixir
is a secret
that sets my words asunder.

I watch from my window,
lying on my crescent-shaped bed,
unable to prevent
the mouth of the glass
