My mother went blind from age 15 with Sarcoidosis disease in her right eye. Then Glaucoma happened in her left eye making her totally blind at age 57. She suffered with type 1 Diabetes. I am also taking drops for Glaucoma because I suffer from Occular Hypertension. I had a terrible eye infection in both eyes some years ago and then they discovered it and diagnosed me. It's awful not to be able to see and everyday I worry I will end up like my mother. Thanks for writing about this important topic.
